If you are having trouble enabling macros in the sheet you are getting back from Ping, please review the instructions below in order to get it working. More advanced settings can be found here for a more permanent solution.
Step 1: Download the Excel File from Outlook
- Open Outlook and navigate to the email from Ping containing the desired Excel file.
- Right-click on the attachment and select "Save As."
- Choose a trusted location on your computer to save the file. (For example, you can create a folder named "Trusted Excel Files" in your Documents folder).
Step 2: Open the Excel File from the Trusted Location
- Open File Explorer (you can do this by pressing
Windows Key + E).
- Navigate to the folder where you saved the Excel file.
- Double-click on the file to open it in Excel.
Step 3: Enable Macros in Excel
- When you open the file, you might see a yellow bar at the top of the Excel window with a button that says "Enable Content." Click this button to enable macros for this session.
Step 4: If Macros Do Not Enable Automatically
If the macros are not enabling automatically, you might see a pink banner like the one shown below. You will need to adjust your Excel settings to trust the location where you saved the file.

- Open Excel (if it’s not already open).
- Click on "File" in the top left corner.
- Scroll down and click on "Options."
